Idle days
Since I finished my exams in February, I am working on my Master thesis. Well, at least that is what I say when people ask me what I am doing. I am in the comfortable situation that I already found a job. I will start on September 1. Until then, the only obligation I have is to write my thesis... yet, it is not really an obligation and I know it. That is the problem! I very much want to finish by September 1 but only to be able to be free after that; free to do whatever I want with my free time.
Meanwhile, I am struggling to concentrate on the tasks at hand: read, write. But there are just so many nice things to while away the time other than read or write on my thesis.
Take for example the EURO. Even though the Swiss national team unfortunately, did not make it past the first round, the EURO happens to 50% in Switzerland and honestly, I and probably most Swiss, grew up knowing that the Swiss national football team is not among the best. Therefore, I have no problems at all to find one or several teams I can support instead. Tonight, it will be the Netherlands (playing against France). Not, that I do not like the French. No, I have nothing against them! It is just that the Dutch fans rule Bern! Even though I have only seen pictures, I am very, very glad that they are here. They really show us how to be enthusiastic about football. THANK YOU!
